The school prides itself on its ability to be flexible in meeting the diverse needs of all its students, providing a completely individualised education, supported by a well-qualified and experienced team.

In a safe environment, based upon mutual respect, we provide a whole service approach to meeting the complex needs of the girls we work with, recognised by Ofsted as a strength (see our latest school Ofsted report). Focussed upon developing the whole child, the curriculum has been developed in line with the requirements of the National Curriculum. It aims to respond to our students’ diverse learning needs and to overcome potential barriers to learning, thus providing bespoke personalised timetables. The curriculum is balanced and broadly based, and promotes the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of all our students preparing them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life. Appropriately differentiated for all, individuals are able to access a range of accreditations from Entry Level and Functional Skills to ASDAN and GCSE. For further details of our curriculum pathways please see our Curriculum Policy.

A wide range of curriculum enrichment activities are also provided to enhance the students’ learning and further develop their understanding of self-worth, self-esteem and confidence. This is especially important as many of our students have experienced a disrupted beginning to their educational journey. To see what we offer our students please see our SEND Information Report.

Safeguarding and Therapy, high priorities for our students, are threaded throughout the curriculum; addressing safeguarding concerns both on an ongoing basis and as they arise (e.g. keep safe work, e-safety and anti-bullying).

For information about pupil premium please see our Pupil Premium Statement. In addition, upon enquiry, the following policies are available: Exclusion; First Aid; Health and Safety; Promoting Positive Behaviour; Referrals and Admissions and Rewards and Consequences. Please contact the school if you should require further information concerning any of our standard working practices.
